It is amazing how quickly you can change yourself by simply talking. Seeing Ros has allowed me to find myself again, allowing me to pursue goals and dreams. I was once in a bad place however with Ros's help I have found confidence and I am now pursuing a degree as a mature student. Talking helps and I am truly grateful to the help Ros has given me.
I saw Ros for a series of counselling appointments when I was really struggling and didn't feel like I had anyone to talk to. I really liked Ros's approach and found her to be empathetic and warm. She helped get me back on track and helped give me a different perspective on things. Even now, a couple of years down the line, I think of her advice & wisdom most days!
I was extremely apprehensive in starting counselling. I told myself it wasn't for me and looking back, I laugh at how wrong I was. Ros made me feel extremely comfortable from the get go; working with me to understand how I was feeling and how to work through situations and look at them with a different viewpoint. Ros was incredible in helping me see it was and is OK to feel vulnerable, a skill I am still trying to master and seeing my own self worth in the break down of my marriage.
Her guidance and counselling got me through an extremely hard period in my life. I have overcome that hurdle and continue to work on my self-development with her. I would advise anymore who is worried about counselling not to be. It is seriously life changing.
I can't thank Ros enough.
I felt a connection with Ros the first time we met, she put me at ease and I could open up to her. As we delved deeper in to many aspects of life she not only listened but challenged me on a lot of levels to think about what was going on, drawing out the root of certain issues and tools I could use to get through situations or thought patterns. Ros has helped me in so many ways and I am so grateful to her for her services, she is a very inspiring lady and I would not hesitate to recommend her to others seeking counselling.
I started my counselling with Ros over 2 years ago now and it was the best decision I have ever made. It has saved my life and changed me into a person I am now proud of. I will never have the words to express how grateful and thankful I am to her. I would urge anyone to see Ros who is struggling no matter how small or big the issue may be. The insight you get into who you are is unbelievable and how you grow and become a better you is incredible and it’s down to this amazing woman. Thank you.
This time last year, I wasn’t even sure if I believed in talking therapy but had come to a point in my life where I was willing to try anything. My attitude changed after my first couple of appointments with Ros – she quickly put my preconceptions to rest and was able to offer me the guidance and support I needed to work through some very difficult issues. I have learned more about myself in the last 10 months than I had in the 31 years previous, thanks to the insight and self-awareness that I’ve gained from having Ros as my therapist. My recommendation for MAC Counselling cannot come highly enough.
I benefited hugely from the safe, tranquil space that Roslin created. She helped me to explore my issues in a completely non-judgemental way. Her manner was always gentle, but I appreciated her challenges when necessary and this is what helped me move forward. She is completely approachable and I warmed immediately to her. Having come across many therapists in my personal and professional life Roslin stands out as someone who genuinely cares and cut right to the heart of the issues with great insight but also the humour she brought at times really helped me to relax and enjoy our sessions together. I can’t thank her enough for the space she gave me to offload and work through my issues at a time when I felt I had no one else to turn to.
Ros has helped me understand what (and who!) my priorities are, and more importantly helped me make positive changes in my life to put those priorities first. Her words of wisdom and insight stay with me even between sessions, and her support has been truly life-changing.
Speaking to Ros is like speaking to a family member who truly cares about you but holds no biases. Over the last 2 years she has given me a safe environment to understand my anxiety, cope with trauma and the strength to make major decisions in my life when I didn't know where else to turn. I'm so thankful that I made the decision to go to counselling with Ros.
Working with Ros has been a very positive experience for us. It’s not always been easy but it has been so beneficial in several areas of life. She is wise and experienced with an extensive understanding of the complexities of life. It can be hard to take the first step but Ros is warm and understanding. If you want to grow as a person and get out a rut it’s worth the effort.
Our time with Ros has been extremely helpful and constructive. Ros has helped us to develop a suite of relational tools that have been very effective in helping us to understand why we behave and relate the way that we do but more importantly how to minimise certain relational bad habits and how to push and work with each other to improve how we relate and love one another. It has been challenging & emotional at times but Ros’ wisdom, insights and sense of humour have really helped to guide and carry us through at times while also challenging us and not letting us get away with our ingrained habits.
Thank you Ros.
Couples counselling has been the best investment that we have ever made in our relationship. It has enabled us to talk freely, taught us to listen to each other, given us helpful and impartial advice and the tools needed to enhance our relationship.
We highly recommend MAC Counselling.
I contacted Ros 15mths ago when I became self-employed. As an employed counsellor for 20+years, I had only experienced 'in-house' supervision from my various employers, so I found the prospect of external supervision a little daunting. From our first appointment however, Ros made me feel at ease. I found her to be a naturally friendly and welcoming person with a good sense of humour, who is not afraid to challenge my thoughts, working methods and who also encourages me to achieve what she believes I'm capable of.
Over a year later and I feel that we have built a good relationship built on trust and respect. I have been stretched out with my previous 20yrs comfort zone, acquiring new skills and confidence as a private practitioner, all the while being fully supported by Ros. Her previous varying roles in business have enabled her to mentor me as I grow my practice and face the challenges that self-employment brings.
I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Ros as a supervisor as she has changed my previous views on supervision immensely.
Roslin has been my supervisor for over a year now. I had to change my supervisor of 8 years quite suddenly and I was very apprehensive about this change. However, after meeting Roslin for an introduction I felt relaxed and looked forward to working with her. We have supervision every month via Skype and it is something I very much look forward to. Her wealth of knowledge and expertise as a therapist is very evident in our sessions together.
I find Roslin to be a very patient and skilled listener. She is direct and challenging, which I feel is important for good supervision. She challenges me enough to help me work out the solution for myself, but at the same time would never leave me stuck. Roslin provides a very safe place for me to be honest and vulnerable without judgement, which helps me get the most out of my supervision.
I can honestly say I have grown as a person and therapist as a result of supervision with Roslin. I highly recommend her as a Supervisor.
