Who am I?
If I were to describe myself in a few words I would use the words warm, caring, intuitive and trustworthy. My friends would say I was a loyal, fun, determined and compassionate individual. I have an inquisitive mind and enjoy connecting with others and championing them to live life to their full potential.
Within my counselling work I draw on a variety of therapeutic approaches, skills and knowledge to best meet clients' individual needs. I offer a safe, relaxed, professional and compassionate environment which helps my clients feel free to explore the different issues arising from them. I am passionate about helping people move through difficult experiences so that they can live life free from limitations.
My training approach is not only interactive and dynamic but also rooted in a deep understanding of how meaningful connections enhance the learning process. I will draw on my extensive knowledge and experience when delivering training to therapists and trainee counsellors, emphasising the importance of collaborative learning. When individuals engage with one another, exchanging ideas and perspectives, they cultivate a rich environment that promotes growth and discovery.
This interactive approach is particularly advantageous in therapeutic training, where self-awareness and empathy are crucial. By facilitating discussions and encouraging participants to share their experiences, I create a space where everyone feels valued and heard. This mutual exchange not only enhances individual learning but also builds a supportive community, fostering a sense of belonging among trainees.
Developing self-awareness is essential for personal and professional growth. By encouraging therapists, coaches, and mental health practitioners to reflect on their own beliefs and biases, I foster openness to growth and adaptability. This openness is crucial in therapy, as understanding diverse viewpoints and adjusting to clients' needs greatly enhances effectiveness. Ultimately, my approach equips emerging professionals with the knowledge, skills, and mindset necessary to become empathetic, adaptable, and well-rounded practitioners in their field.
