Who am I?
Those who know me well would describe me as warm, compassionate and down to earth. Welcome feedback from clients has been that I am a good listener, intuitive and that I inspire feelings of trust and acceptance. I feel privileged to have been the recipient of such kind words as my commitment is always to see my clients as individuals, where our time together is to uncover their personal health and wellbeing goals or concerns, in an environment that is safe and non- judgemental. In this way, we can work towards achieving their desired outcomes, irrespective of their current starting point, secure in the knowledge that help is on hand to achieve their goals.
My coaching practice takes an holistic approach with my clients.
As individuals they each have their own story, needs and current life demands. My experience has taught me that for change to be sustainable it must be responsive and adaptable to those demands, so that change can be embedded seamlessly into real life.
In this way we avoid any promise of a quick fix, instead we commit to a coach/client relationship that will work towards successful outcomes, that will serve the client both now and in the years to come.
As a registered Health Coach I have supported clients through peri/menopause symptoms, stress management, weight issues, pre-diabetes as well as those of a more general nature, looking to gain better knowledge of health and nutrition to enhance the quality and energy available to cope with everyday living.
The most empowering thing for a client to realise, is that they control the choice over much of their health and wellbeing future and that’s a powerful position to be in.
I hold an MA.Hons. from Glasgow University and after graduating found myself in the corporate world, which is where I spent many years. I eventually led large teams in well known companies and loved the energy of collaboration and the buzz of people achieving shared goals.
Alongside this I always had a passion for health and wellbeing. I saw early on in my career that people who were valued and had purpose were more likely to be better team members or possibly even family members and I was able to influence wellbeing practices into the workplace.
I worked overseas, then a decision to be based more permanently in the UK, became a catalyst for some introspection and change.
My enjoyment of coaching and mentoring people within my teams plus my long- standing interest in wellbeing made the pivot into Health Coaching a natural choice and I returned to formal education.
I hold my Health Coaching Diploma through the College of Naturopathic Medicine in London. I hold a Diploma in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT)
I’m a full member of the Association of Naturopathic Practitioners, The British Menopause Society and the UK International Health Coaches Association, where I’m required to complete annual studies for CPD (Continuous Professional Development) to maintain my registration. These studies also allow me to keep up with current research, which I am then able to filter through for the benefit of my clients.
