Who am I?
I believe that creating a comfortable, non-judgmental environment is key to helping clients find solutions to their challenges. People would describe me as warm and approachable, with a genuine interest in supporting others. My goal as a therapist is to provide a space where clients feel fully accepted, listened to, and understood as we work side by side on the issues they face.

Her Approach

Gemma works with a person-centred approach, which places the client at the heart of the therapeutic process.

Gemma believes that everyone has the ability to understand their own experiences and, with the right support, can find the tools to create meaningful change. In your work together, Gemma will aim to help clients tap into their inherent strengths and guide them toward solutions that feel authentic to them.

Experience and Training

Gemma holds a Master’s degree in Psychology from the University of Glasgow. Gemma has completed the COSCA Certificate in Counselling Skills from the University of Edinburgh and is now working toward a Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling at the University of Edinburgh. Gemma undertakes regular supervision to maintain professional practice.

Gemma also works with a mental health charity where she provides text-based support for individuals in crisis. Gemma’s experience working in mental health has deepened her understanding of the importance of providing compassionate, accessible care for people during difficult times.

Gemma is a member of COSCA & BACP.
